Disc Dog Foundations

This course is a complete introduction to building strong foundations for future disc dog training and active play with your dog.

Instead of focusing only on throwing discs, we start with communication, building motivation, body awareness, and teamwork between dog and handler.

Throughout the program, you will learn how to develop your dog’s confidence, self-control, play skills, and understanding of clear training systems using food, toys, movement, and structured exercises. The course gradually guides both dog and human through essential elements such as motivation building, communication cues, impulse control, warm-ups, foundational tricks, and preparation exercises that safely lead toward catching and working with frisbee.

Designed especially for young or beginner dogs, this course helps create a dog that is physically prepared, mentally engaged, and emotionally balanced.

Inside this course you will learn how to:

  • build real toy motivation,

  • develop clear communication systems,

  • understand your dog’s emotions and preferences,

  • create engagement and self-control,

  • plan training in a fun, structured, and effective way,

  • and prepare solid foundations for your future Disc Dog journey.
